Urdu Forum Incorporated - a not-for-profit association, invites you to a Gala Variety Musical event featuring an evening of Bollywood songs, Ghazals and Qawwalis performed in Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi and Farsi by some of the best artists in Brisbane.  

The artists for the evening include, among others, Rahim Zullah, Joseph Nand, Yousuf Alikhan, Binny Jardi, Chandan Das, Anuja, Parminder, Asad Basit, Nirav, and Ajmal. The singers are supported by some of the most talented musicians in Brisbane, led by Joseph Nand, Dhiresh, Nitesh Naryan, Sharad and many more.

Urdu Forum Incorporated was set up in 2018 for the promotion of Urdu language and literature with a special emphasis on education. We have been conducting Free Urdu language classes since February 2020. Since its inception, over 100 children and adults have benefited from the program. The weekly classes are held on Sundays during school terms and are open to all.

In doing so, our objective is to promote inclusiveness, harmony, social cohesion and multiculturalism in Australia. Our poetry workshops, storytelling sessions, and Urdu musical events, featuring local, interstate, and international proponents of the Urdu language, reflect our commitment to achieving this objective.

All proceeds from this event will go towards funding our Urdu literacy program.
